Nature is a language, represents a concept of psychosis/overal concept of mental health. The idea of this piece was to create an individual who has clarity on her mental heath and how the mind can affect the body. The woman is cased in half light and half shadow, to represent the both spectrum of mental heath. You could say a yin and yang affect. She is opening her third eye also known as her mind’s eye (Hindu) and slowly pouring water into it. The water represents the flow of life and time, two major keys to better understand your own mental heath/or anthers. Slowly she is morphing into a new being. I chose tree bark and tree branches to represent strength which is needed to deal with your worse days. The lotus was a small metaphor to the rise a new and enlightenment. A lotus with its center hidden, indicated (In Buddhism) that enlightenment is beyond ordinary sight. For only yourself can concur you inner battles.
