Hollow is an art piece that represents depression. An individual trapped in a closed cut frame stimulating the uselessness to escape their inner problems. The man’s face expresses pain and closed eyes unable to look forward. As the individual pains away tearing at his flesh and causing self harm. Exposing his true insides: hollow/empty. The background I chose on purpose, because of the actual individual/model, his depression surfaced after he ceased the use of a powerful drug. To a closer look the background is actually a form of tie die representing a drugged past.
